Saco’s annual Bike Rodeo returns on Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Thornton Academy!Hosted by the City’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC), this family-friendly event helps children build confidence and learn the essentials of bike safety in a fun, supportive environment.
The Bicycle Coalition of Maine will lead this year’s rodeo, guiding kids through a helmet check, a quick mechanical inspection, and instructional rides on a closed traffic skills course designed to teach the rules of the road. Families are encouraged to bring their bikes and helmets and join in as kids practice basic riding skills, navigation, and safe decision-making on a protected, easy-to-follow course.
