Sabrina Tirvengadum, Beauty Fall - Exhibition Launch

Join us in the SPACE Gallery to celebrate the opening of Beauty Fall, a solo exhibition by deaf British Mauritian artist Sabrina Tirvengadum. Transforming the space into a satirical beauty salon, the exhibition brings together AI-generated beauty advertisements, a face-morphing mirror, and immersive installations that expose the hidden colonial influences shaping contemporary beauty standards. Working across photography, sculpture, and digital media, Tirvengadum invites visitors to confront how ideals of beauty are constructed, measured, and internalised.

At the heart of the exhibition are deeply personal and ancestral narratives. Drawing on archival family imagery and 3D-printed masks of her grandparents, Tirvengadum traces histories of erasure and representation, questioning how identity has been documented and distorted across generations. Visitors are encouraged to engage with their own reflections and consider how beauty culture continues to shape self-perception and belonging.
