Sabr Scouts 2026: Youth-Led Day Camp for Girls

Join Sabr Scouts, a youth-led summer program for girls ages 9 to 11. The program is sponsored by IslamicFamily, Edmonton Community Foundations, and AP!RG.

Designed to empower young girls, this program helps build confidence, introduce new skills, and support our unique cultural identities. Girls will engage with a variety of activities, from science experiments to calligraphy to life skills. They will connect with like-minded peers and experts and make lifelong connections.

Sabr Scouts will take place over four weeks, meeting on Sundays from 1 to 5 PM:

• July 12
• July 19
• July 26
• August 02 (2pm - 5pm)

We have a variety of STEAM activities planned, including forensic science, suturing, robotics, 3D-printing, DIY mirrors, personalized tote bags, and self-defence!

Please register on Eventbrite using the name and contact information of the child's parent/guardian.

If you are signing up multiple children for the camp, please complete separate orders for each child.

For each registration, you will receive an email (sent to the email address used for registration) with a link to provide additional information. This link and its related forms must be completed and signed by the parent or legal guardian.

This program is $60 for the whole camp, subsidized by grants and donations.
