If you jived at The Chelsea Underground in Hillbrow to ‘Shadows’ & ‘Taximan’ with your fellow Fadgets, posed at Decodance, relishing the ‘Once In A Lifetime’ passion of Jon Selby’s ‘Magical Touch’, embraced ‘ZX Dan’ in the Wits Great Hall with defiant anti-system, kindred spirits OR recall the ‘exhilaration of unity’ at Concert In The Park, when Heather Mac proudly belted out:

The Special Guests are TRULY SPECIAL: Dave Davies (Radio Rats), Tim Parr (Ellamental) and Wade Williams (Wonderboom) all playing the glorious hits they created, backed by the rocking house band. Hand picked by Danny, this ‘lekker’ ensemble features guitarist Damian Kruger and bass maestro Justin Hart, along with singers; Tina Delacovias (Squeal), Meel Vignetting (After Agatha), Hagen Engler (Jedi Rollers), Craig Topham (Jester) and Joe Somebody.
The Diamond Dogs put the Rock into Rockey Street, every time they ‘Rattled & Rolled’ Yeoville with their ‘Bad Attitude’... axeman Greg Pentopoulos & front man Nick Slade are sure to add a sleazy edge to the proceedings.
Boasting alternative anthems like ‘Competition Rules’, No Friends Of Harry fly that same rebellious flag - Rob McLennan & Ian Wiggins letting you know that it will be a ‘Long Way Home’... especially after a night of ‘live band versions’ of South African classics by the Asylum Kids, Peach, Cherry Face Lurchers, Falling Mirror and Tribe After Tribe!!
‘The Jewel In The Crown’ is a once off ‘30 Year Anniversary Reunion Performance’ set by the Electric Petals... in conjunction with this event, Universal Music are releasing The Petals ‘lost’ album ‘Polynation’ for the first time ever – digitally and on vinyl.
Ajay Lotter and Danny will revive ‘Sister Love’, ‘Brave New World’ and other Electric Petals favourites from the Wings Beat Bar jorls in the 90’s - with Ajay’s talented sons Calvin & Keegan are on board (as integral ‘Honorary Petals’ band members), ensuring that the occasion is made even more special.
Ace producer Peter Pearlson won his first SAMA award for ‘Polynation’ - his son Joshua attended pre-school at the time Peter made the record with The Petals AND things will come ‘full circle’ on the day, when Josh (After Robot) climbs on stage and joins The Electric Petals... to celebrate this milestone gig.
