hope lives here! - Writing Towards Relief is a creative experience for all ages and skill levels to come as they are, shake that load off, and find creative release through reading and listening to poems and spoken word performances, along with writing their own first drafts to take home.

📍Lawndale Mental Health Center 1105 S Western Ave, Chicago, IL 60612

Wednesdays & Fridays 3 pm - 4 pm (in-person)

If you have a pen or a personal notebook, please bring it. Notebooks, pens, and pencils will be provided. Music will be played while writing. All you really need to bring is yourself and an open heart & mind!
