Join us for the first concert designed to develop the live performance of Alex McKenzie’s debut album, Suncore: The Portal Maker. In this immersive experience, stories of Suncore, a lonely soul trapped in her inner darkness, discovers magical portals that challenge her perception of self. Amidst distress and fear, immense love and a sense of safety emerge, guiding her journey. Reminding her of the power she posesses.
Expect a concert where Alex performs as a one man band with his electric guitar synthesizer, bending the rules for what guitar can sound like. The atmosphere will at times be energetic and loud, complemented by soft melancholic and soothing moments.
Don’t miss this opportunity to experience the beginning of a powerful new live act that will ultimately evolve into an interactive concert experience where the audience itself can manipulate sound and light, opening portals within the performance.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Alex McKenzie is a guitarist, songwriter, and producer whose influences span genres such as blues, R&B, soul, country, pop, and West African rhythms. His solo project is a psychedelic blend of all these styles, culminating in the enchanting story of Suncore: The Portal Maker.
