Rye ValleyRye Valley is a heartfelt Americana band rooted in Northeast Ohio. The core duo—Brett Auerbach (vocals, guitar, songwriting) and Landon Kearns (multi-instrumentalist, percussion, harmony vocals)—met at the Silver Swan Tavern’s Northeast Ohio open‑mic scene. What began as a decade-long casual collaboration bloomed into Rye Valley in 2021.
Brett Auerbach is an indie singer-songwriter and guitarist based in Akron, Ohio. Raised in the Cuyahoga Valley, his music draws deep influence from the sounds of Appalachia and the American Midwest. Blending claw-hammer and fingerstyle guitar with open tunings, Auerbach crafts a sound rooted in delta blues and Americana, marked by raw emotion and vivid lyrical storytelling.
They call themselves working‑class troubadours from the “valley of the Cuyahoga River,” delivering emotive songwriting sung in soulful tenor with a percussive, intimate musical backdrop—Auerbach’s expressive picking meets Kearns’s rhythmic depth. As the band expanded, Tyler Lobdell (pedal steel/guitar), Kevin Brosien (bass), and Tim Ellinger (drums) brought additional layers, enriching their signature alt-country sound.
The Jared Presley Experience
The Jared Presley Experience" is a duo, (trio for some shows next year). An instrumental duo with guitar and drums. The band performs instrumental guitar pieces that are reminiscent of Explosions in the Sky, with an emphasis on building electronic soundscapes. The guitar tone, technique, phrasing, and song building around melodies from the guitar are the highlights of his set.
Headed by Jared Presley, the songs are inspired by classic rock bands, prog rock, and other instrumental guitar artists like Joe Satriani and Steve Vai. Aided by Ryan Wells on hand drums, the founder of the "Legendary Hand Drums" company.
Friendship Bracelet
"Friendship Bracelet is a group of four close friends combining their many talents and eclectic tastes into an Alt-Rock/Emo package. The band formed in April of 2025 in a barn in Alliance, Ohio. With emotionally driven lyrics, screaming riffs, driving bass lines, and powerful drums, their music combines the many genres that influence each of them. Come join our friend group, there's plenty of room!"
