Spend a Sunday afternoon with one of Scotland’s most distinctive fiddle players as Ryan Young brings his spellbinding live show to Band on the Wall.
Ryan breathes new life into old and often forgotten Scottish tunes, combining a deeply expressive sound with fresh melodic ideas, rhythmic drive and extraordinary precision. His playing has been described as “poetry without words”, taking audiences on an emotional and adventurous musical journey.
The concert will feature tunes from Ryan’s new album, produced by and featuring legendary Irish fiddler Martin Hayes, alongside music from across Ryan’s acclaimed repertoire.
A multi-award-nominated musician, Ryan was nominated for Musician of the Year at the 2025 MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards, following nominations for Album of the Year and Live Act of the Year. He has toured extensively across the UK, Europe, North America and Australia.
