This special concert is an addition to the current season and marks one of Ryan’s final UK performances before he heads to Harvard University. Since winning BBC Young Musician, he has been in high demand worldwide and is hailed as one of the most electrifying young pianists today, admired for his maturity, sensitivity, and virtuosity far beyond his years. BBC judge Alison Balsom described his performance of Rachmaninov’s Concerto No. 2 as “a kind of magic” and “one of the great historical performances of Rach 2.”
