Ryan McCombe is one of New York City’s most exciting Irish American artists on the scene. Raised in Yonkers, NY, Ryan absorbed Irish and Irish American music through the thriving New York Trad scene, rising through the ranks as a Champion step dancer. Now a sought-after singer and guitarist, Ryan’s debut EP – My Side the Ocean – released in May 2025 is a modern take on classic Irish diaspora songs with a dancer’s lift and energy, and features some of North America’s best trad musicians as guest artists.

Larry Kirwan of Black 47 called Ryan “a real triple threat,” and iIrish News Magazine calls the album “a Top Shelf Selection… there’s no reason not to fall in love.” The Irish Echo states, “pub music with a bit of trad crossover is music that will sit well with many readers… give this one a look.” Ryan’s music has been featured on SiriusXM’s Celtic Crush, WFUV’s Ceol na nGael, the Irish & Celtic Music Podcast, and more.

The video for Ryan’s lead single, Getting Dark Again, featured 35 dancers from 3 countries, and his collaboration with World Champion step dancer Tyler Schwartz gathered over 55,000 views.
