GRAMMY® Award–winning vocalist and guitarist Ruthie Foster returns to Australia in2026, bringing the magnetic presence that has made her one of the most beloved figures
in contemporary roots music. Frequently compared to Aretha Franklin for her emotional
range and powerhouse delivery, Foster moves fluidly between blues, gospel, folk, and
soul. Her masterful guitar work is as revered as her spine-tingling vocals, creating
performances that blend intimacy, authenticity and sheer musical force.
Her last Australian tour arrived just weeks after she received her first GRAMMY® Award
for Mileage (2024), produced by Tyler Bryant for Sun Records. Celebrated for its emotional

A product of a gospel-rich upbringing in Gause, Texas, Foster found her voice in church
before studying music, serving in the U.S. Navy, and developing her songwriting in New
