In July 2022, Josephine sought medical care for severe abdominal pain. Testing revealed multiple precancerous lesions throughout her abdominal cavity, leading to major surgery in August 2022 to remove the lesions and affected organs. Following surgery, Josephine experienced ongoing complications, including persistent infections and extensive medical testing. In March 2025, she was
referred to Mayo Clinic, where she continues to undergo evaluation and treatment. Additional surgeries have been scheduled to address complications from her previous procedures.
Funds raised from this benefit will help cover the financial burden of years of medical appointments, testing, treatments, travel to Rochester, Minnesota, and upcoming surgeries.
