Rusty Rails is a group of 5 musicians, 4 of whom hail from RI and a 5th an import from Nevada. Featuring two RIBA Hall of Fame recipients and all having a vast past experience in playing a variety of genres, Rusty Rails has 3 and 4 part vocal harmony, typical Bluegrass instrumentation and a wide range of non-bluegrass songs that we’ve “Grassified”. But holding true to our Bluegrass forbears we have a good selection of the Bluegrass chestnuts that brings the new listener to this music. Rusty Rails consists of Rich Guilbault (RIBA HofF), banjo, lead vocals and tenor, Brian Tefft, rhythm and flatpicking guitar and lead vocals and tenor harmony, Jon Corey, lead vocals and upright Bass, Zeke Griffin Mandolin, guitar and vocals and harmonies, and Phil Smith RIBA HofF) on Dobro ,guitar and banjo, lead vocals and baritone harmonies.
