The Rust Foundation is bringing back its Rust Global event series in 2025! First stop: London.
Attendees of Rust Nation UK are encouraged to register for this one-day event dedicated to discussing the use of Rust in global leadership settings.
Like our most recent event in Montreal alongside RustConf 2024, Rust Global: London will seek to unite Rust enthusiasts, enterprise adopters, open source business leaders, and global decision-makers with inspiring talks and networking opportunities!

"Using Rust to interact with an SAP system using OData V2" — Chris Wheeley
Abstract: Using his background as a technical SAP consultant, Chris has developed a pair of Rust crates that allow you to interact with an SAP system using the OData V2 interface.
This talk gives a brief introduction to what the OData protocol is, how it works, and how to interact with it using Rust
Bio: Chris has been a long time member of the Rust London Community, giving his first talk in Jan 2020 on calculating acoustic absoption using Rust and WebAssembly.
When he's not coding, he's either playing the drums or recording/mixing/live streaming other people making music.
"Rebuilding Prime Video UI with Rust and WebAssembly" — Alex Ene
Abstract: Prime Video delivers content to millions of customers, all over the world, on a variety of devices such as: game consoles, set-top boxes, streaming sticks, and Smart TVs. These devices have a vast range of hardware capabilities and performance characteristics. We’ll show how we’ve used Rust and WebAssembly to build new version of the Prime Video app and improve performance as well as enable features previously impossible to use with JavaScript and React. The talk will feature details of a new UI SDK in Rust for Prime Video that targets these living room devices.
Bio: Alexandru is a Principal Engineer in Prime Video. Previously he’s worked in video games, game engines and has a passion for interactive media and high-performance systems.

Bios: James Eastham is a Serverless Developer Advocate at Datadog and a Microsoft MVP. He has over 10 years of software experience at all layers of the software development process and has spoken at conferences all over the world. He answered phones in front-line support, administered databases, and built SSIS packages, as well as developed cloud-native backends with serverless technologies. He spent time at AWS working with some of the biggest companies on the planet, migrating workloads from data centers into the cloud and modernizing in the process.James produces content on YouTube focused on architecting and building applications with serverless technologies using .NET and Rust. He also has a strong interest in and expertise in event-driven architecture and building more loosely coupled systems.
Luciano Mammino is an AWS Serverless Hero and an MVP, author and speaker. In his day to day job at fourTheorem he helps companies to get the best out of the Cloud and AWS. He is an active speaker and in the last few years he has delivered more than 130 talks in conferences and meetups around the World. He is also the author of the famous book Node.js Design Patterns and he is currently co-authoring the book Crafting Lambda Functions in Rust.
