Memphis synth pop with visuals free show 7pm
RussT has been recording music as a solo artist since 2014. He is also active in several Memphis acts such as Polyglamorous as a guitarist/bassist and as a drummer in the bands 1,000 Lights and Switchblade Kid. His music has been described as a potent blend of indie rock influences including dream pop, shoegaze, psyche rock, dark wave, and post punk. He is a multi-instrumentalist, recording all of the musical parts for his recordings. He began to play live as a solo artist in 2024, incorporating short films into his live set for every song. Last year, he released two albums, ‘Afterimage,’ which incorporated a lot of electronic influences and ‘Sampler Platter,’ a heady and catchy mix of tracks that span his albums from 2016-2023. In May of this year, he released his eleventh solo album, ‘Summerlong’ which will feature the use of percussion instruments such as steel tongue drum, kalimba, and xylophone within the oeuvre of the RussT sound. He will be featuring the music from his new album with many shows this summer.
