Free Entry!! Rural Day is an iconic annual event held in Feilding CBD that attracts 1000’s of locals & visitors to celebrate our rural heritage.
This free public event is aimed at celebrating all things rural that are important to our town, district and regional culture and economy. Rural Day brings our community together, attracts new customers and entertains locals and visitors alike. It’s a great day for families and a lot of light-hearted fun! Manchester Square will be packed with farm animals, non-stop entertainment, rides, fun rural activities and competitions.

Introducing a “new event category” the Open class. Make up a team made up of 3 people any age / gender – can be friends, family or colleagues.

HOMELY LAMB & CALF PARADE
Here’s a great opportunity to have a practice with your pet before your school pet day. Prizes will be given for ‘Best Dressed’ and ‘Most Well-behaved’ Lamb or Calf.
Registration is FREE but you must be registered to enter by 19th September.
RURAL ART
This is a great opportunity to show of your artistic side by creating a rural themed piece of art on paper or canvas using paint, crayon, pencil, ink - whatever suits your creative style. Winners and runner up art will be displayed at Rural Day and at Feilding Art Centre for November Youth Art Month.
Registration is FREE but you must be registered to enter by 29th September 2025.
PGG WRIGHTSON'S BEST DRESSED - 'RURAL'
There are 3 separate categories; 0 to 11 years, 12 - 18 years and a new class, Open age Environment - Recycle Rural (Think rural WoW!) - Open to all ages.
Registration is FREE but you must be registered to enter by Monday 29th September.
PAPER PLUS COLOURING IN COMPETITION
For 5 years and under. Poster is available to download on our website or pick up at our office at 22 Manchester Square. Drop your completed entry to us at 22 Manchester Street or to Paper Plus, Feilding, by Monday 29th September.
COUNT THE FARM DOGS
Posters will be up around town during the first week of September and provides a good school holiday activity! - Entry forms available soon from 22 Manchester Square.
