Rural Connections

Delivered by Change Mental Health in partnership with Mental Health UK, Rural Connections offers fully funded mental health awareness training to rural businesses and organisations with fewer than 50 employees. We aim to improve mental health and wellbeing across rural Scotland by providing essential tools to support staff and communities.

Eligibility:

Rural businesses and communities with fewer than 50 employees or members, especially those in areas with populations under 3,000, are eligible for the training. The approach is flexible and inclusive to ensure maximum reach.

“Before the course, I hadn’t considered that mental health is not the absence of mental illness and is not separate from being healthy. It was useful to consider what wellbeing is, as well as to learn more about some common mental illnesses.

“It was emphasised that recovery is possible and likely, and that was a hopeful and positive thing to hear!”
