Rupert Wates brings his haunting, melodic brand of acoustic art‑folk to our September concert—an intimate evening with one of the most acclaimed independent songwriters performing today. Born in London and now based in the U.S., Wates has released twelve critically praised albums, earned more than 50 songwriting and performing awards, and inspired over twenty cover recordings, including two full tribute albums. His music blends folk, jazz, cabaret, and vaudeville into a sound that’s both timeless and deeply personal.
Performing roughly 120 shows a year across North America and Europe, Wates is known for creating powerful connection in small listening rooms where every lyric lands and every story matters.
