Howdy Friends! 🖐️We did it. We made it all the way to December. And as one year comes to a close so a new year can begin again, I want to announce 2025’s final Eau Claire Community Run and speak to what these community runs have come to mean to me throughout this last year. Details below! 👇

☀️ What? - December Community Run & Marathon (Last of 2025)
📍 Where? - Grand Avenue Bridge (West), Eau Claire, WI.
📅 When? - 8am on Sunday, December 28th, 2025
❓ Why? - Because Community Is Who We Are
🗺️ How? - 26.2 Miles through beatufiul Eau Claire, WI
(But really run ANY distance, for however long you like!)
Eau Claire will always be my home. When I moved away last year, I knew that staying connected to these streets and this community was important to me. Community runs have come to be some of the most significant and meaningful experiences of my life, by pushing myself outside of my comfort zone and choosing to simply run with people; people who share a common thread, despite whatever the world tells us about our differences. We move forward together and that’s what counts.
As always, we run at an easy, conversational pace. We stick together and circle back whenever the group separates. Make sure to dress for the weather and the distance you plan to run! The route will be posted in the days leading up to the 28th! I plan to post a Livetrack link on that morning of the run so you can follow along at home, or better yet, come run awhile! (One block or the whole way, it all counts.)
Also! In lieu of this year’s Positive Vector Marathon & Half Marathon being cancelled last weekend due to harsh weather conditions, I’d like invite anyone who was looking to run 13.1 or 26.2 to tag up for this one! We will make sure we all make it through together 🤝
I ran the Positive Vector in 2023 from Menomonie to Eau Claire and one of my most significant takeaways was how familiar it felt like one big community run and that just made me feel right at home supporting the cause. Positive Vector partners with NAMI to help provide mental health support, resources and recovery in the Chippewa Valley.
I strongly believe that running and movement is tied to our mental health, and by running together we begin to bridge the gaps and find hope within one another. We can’t do it alone.
Speaking of, we couldn’t get to DECEMBER, without NOVEMBER 🌀, OCTOBER 👻, SEPTEMBER ☸️, AUGUST 👣, JULY 🦈, JUNE ⛰️, MAY 🔁, APRIL 🌼, MARCH 🤝, FEBRUARY ❤️ and JANUARY 🐍, right???? Shoutout to EVERYONE who joined in on any of these 2025 community runs; many of you on multiple occasions. It means so much to me to have been able to share these experiences with you all and please know that from me to you, it means the world 🌎 *Check out the photo reel of all the past month’s community runs throughout 2025!
I love Eau Claire and I am so excited to run through some of my favorite parts of this town that so many of us call home. Every street has a story being written every day. We get to be an active part of it. And when we do good, the world does good. It’s all connected and seeing it play out in front of my eyes simply by running with you all has given me so much hope for everything that’s possible.
If you’ve made it this far, I have one last announcement and that is that this will be the last community run I organize in Eau Claire for a while. It’s not the end, and there will be more in 2026, but I know as the calendar’s change, it’s a good time for me to change as well.
So if you’ve been seeing these posts every month and thinking about coming, I say now is the time to finally do it! It’s something else, y’all. I have never regretted a single one. Every run has given me new hope and gratitude to build from and who knows, it just might change yer whole dang life 😁 They have certainly changed mine.
I have been organizing community runs every year since 2021 and the biggest take away by far is the people. The absolutely wonderful people I have met through running is everything! YOU are one of those amazing people, even if we haven’t met yet. I know it in my heart and that’s what it’s all about.
