On March the 14th, make haste to the scene,
At 4:30 sharp, and wear your best green!
All gingers are welcome, so ready your stride,
With fiery red hair and freckles with pride.
Through campus we’ll race, all spirits aflame,
A blaze of bright copper—a sight to proclaim!
The skies may bless us with Irish mist,
So dress for the rain, don’t give it a miss!
Let’s dash through the streets, let’s revel, let’s cheer,
For the Running of the Ginger is finally near!
And lo, the swiftest will earn rightful cheer—
A pitcher of beer for victory here!
But heed this, dear runner, your fate is now spun,
For you shall host next year’s ginger-fueled run!
