Runes 101: Learning the Elder Futhark Alphabet, the language of Thor & Loki

Come join us at The Agape House for an exciting in-person event where you can dive into the mystical world of the Elder Futhark alphabet, the language associated with the legendary Norse gods Thor and Loki. This beginner-friendly workshop will introduce you to the ancient symbols and their meanings, giving you a glimpse into the rich history and culture of the Norse people. Get ready to unlock the secrets of the runic alphabet and connect with the powerful energies it represents!

By the end of this course, you will learn how to cast runes, learn simple spreads, and create bind runes which are multiple runes put together to create an intention (i.e. sigils).

Students will receive a runes set to practice on after the class ends.

Facilitator Bio Tina McDonald: I am a Usui Reiki Master Teacher and an affiliate member of the International Center for Reiki Training. I am at least a third-generation intuitive on my father’s side of the family and was first introduced to the metaphysical and spiritual world at a young age. I began my studies in 2020 where I found solace in the healing properties of Reiki. I am also attuned in Karuna, Holy Fire, Dragon, Crystal, Shamanic and Angelic Reiki, and draw from all these modalities during a Reiki session. In addition to practicing Reiki, I offer Tarot, Oracle, Runes and Pendulum divination. I am certified to conduct EFT tapping sessions and aura cleansings. I am also a published author, podcast interviewee, and the moderator of the monthly Live with the Guides online group channeling event.
