Run for Love 5K at Gallery Park

The annual Run for Love 5K was founded in 2006 to help those in need and will be on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Glenview Gallery Park!

With the collaborative efforts of the Korean community and Korean churches, the Korean American Association of Chicago has come together to organize this impactful event with the Korean United Methodist Church to foster integration and diversity within our local community while also raising funds for refugees which impacts not only the Korean community but various aspects of our society.
The event will also be a platform to unite all ages with captivating Taekwondo performances and vibrant K-culture dances to embrace the ongoing changes within our community while advocating for diversity. We also want to commend the efforts of the Illinois government and the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) Refugee and Immigrant Services Center for their unwavering commitment to assisting newly arrived refugees in becoming self-sufficient in the United States, as well as, express our gratitude to the dedicated police officers across Chicago precincts for their tireless service.

6:30am - Registration Opens
7:25am - Angela Latin Dance Warmup
7:50am - Prayer
8:00am - Start 1M Walk or 5K Run
9:00am - Awards Ceremony

FAQ:
1. Same day RSVP accepted but no guarantee for t-shirts.
2. Medals will be awarded to top 3 finishers in each age group. No awards for walking.
3. Limited t-shirts for first 200 registrants.
4. Participants will have 50 minutes to complete the 5K running course or the 1 mile walking course.
5. Team registrations are not required but will aid in picking up your member's packets on race day.
