We are thrilled to invite you to a very special 3rd Saturday Dances of Universal Peace on December 21st!Join us for an evening of dances and poetry. Shemsuddin will be joined by local poet and artist Tracey Schmidt to celebrate the Urs of Jalāl ad-Dīn Muhammad Rūmī the beloved 13th century Sufi mystic and poet. Tracey will be reciting poetry from Rumi throughout the evening, along with a couple of her own original selections.
Your presence will assure that this will be a special evening together.

Ample free parking provided.
This event is offered by donation. $15 per person is appreciated, if you are able, to help cover costs.

More about Tracey:
A native of Augusta, Georgia, Tracey Schmidt now lives in the gray-blue mountains of Asheville, NC. She is a working poet and a photographer. In addition to her first book of poetry I Have Fallen in Love with the World (Turtle Dove Publications), her poetry has been published in Field of Dreams Poetry Anthology, Western NC Woman, Mountain Express, Sheville, Sunburst Anthology of Women Writers, SOL Poetry Anthology, and numerous other publications. She produced a music/poetry CD Returning Home with world-class musicians Mariam Matossian and River Guerguerian, recording the work of Rumi, Hafiz, Yeats and her own poetry. She continues to perform her work in the southeast and abroad with world class musicians.
