RUMBA I (BEGINNING COURSE) Group Class – 6 Weeks
MONDAYS at 7pm – commencing on MONDAY, FEBRUARY 23rd, 2026
6 consecutive Mondays at 7pm

Cost:
$89 per Person for 6 Weeks (1 person)
$178 per Person for 6 Weeks (couple)

** Shoes/Clothing** - clothing should comfortable and suitable for dancing/moving; please bring a change of clean/dry shoes (not worn outside); if you don't have dance shoes yet, dress shoes are best; typical tennis shoes are worst (they stick to the dance floor and prevent your feet from pivoting/turning).

CLASS LEVEL (BEGINNING):
We will teach technique, fundamental steps and all the essentials for beginning RUMBA. A partner is not required, we regularly rotate students during the class. This class is perfect for both individuals and couples who are beginners or have no prior dance experience.

Rumba is universally recognized as the dance of love. It is danced to slow, sensual music with a Latin beat and features a hip action known as “Cuban Motion.” Rumba is derived from the Afro-Caribbean dance “Son” and has been popular in this country as a ballroom dance since the 1930’s. Rumba is often called the “dance of love”, distinguished by its romantic feel. It is a non=progressive dance with continuous, flowing Cuban motion which gives Rumba its sensual look. The rumba frame is a typical Rhythm frame.
