Ruff Ruck Challenge 2026 | Ruck or Walk for Veteran Service Dogs

Every day, shelter dogs run out of time. Every day, twenty two veterans do the same. On October 10 we walk so they both get a new ending to their story together.
⏰ NEW THIS YEAR: step off is 9:00 AM, not noon. Check in and weigh ins open at 7:30.

Year four. The goal is $100,000. Hit it and this community crosses a quarter million raised all time.
🎒 THE RUFF RUCK CHALLENGE: 12 miles in under 3 hours with a 35 lb minimum, weighed at check in. Vest and ruck compete in separate divisions, because vests carry faster and fair is fair. Complete the challenge in time and take a dog tag at the line.
🛡️ THE FRONTLINE CHALLENGE: four person team splits 100 lbs across 12 miles, vest or ruck or both, no time limit. Your captain is an active or retired first responder or military member.
🐾 THE FREEDOM WALK: any distance, any pace, rolling start. Strollers, kids, dogs, grandparents, weight or no weight, all of it. If you're new to rucking or just want to walk and support, you are welcome here.
🐕 Dogs are welcome on the course. Leashed, friendly, and you carry their water.
