On September 26, 2010, the first official GORUCK Challenge took place in San Francisco. Designed to test gear inspired by U.S. Special Forces training, it brought strangers together to push through hardship with teamwork, grit, and perseverance.
That day marked the moment rucking left its purely military roots and became a global movement for anyone seeking camaraderie and purpose.
Designating September 26 as Ruck The World Day will unite people everywhere to ruck in solidarity — one day each year when the world moves together, carrying weight and lifting each other up.
