Join VFW PFC Travis F. Haslip Memorial Post 1697 in a community physical activity with a mission to "Honor Military Service, Build Community Relationships, and Train the Body & Mind!"
Ruck the Greenway is a FREE event open to all ages and all physical abilities. There are multiple options of participation including:
A 1/2-mile Honor Walk that will loop around the Memorial Park down to the Veterans Memorial Mural and back.
A 5K Ruck - any Weighted Vest, Ruck, Bergen/Bergin, or backpack of choice worn by the participant that will loop around the Memorial Park and continue down the Wolftever Greenway to the Collegedale Dog Park and back.
A 5K Walk - a come as you are walk following the same route as the 5K Ruck.
And for those not able to do the loops above, we will have a tent and information booth setup to just hangout and talk with our Veterans, Auxiliary Members, and Families.
Parking is available at the Ooltewah Youth Association Fields, Scooters Coffee, Collegedale Library and Imagination Station.
Be the lookout for Quarterly Donation Drives to coincide with this event. We will put that specific information out closer to the specific month.
