About this Event

Ruck for Resilience
This community event is open to soldiers, veterans, their families, and the public. Together, we’ll promote resilience, raise awareness, and strengthen support for those who serve.


Check in at Camp San Luis Obispo's Parade Field and entry gate ( located on Hollister Road) will open at 8 am.

First Ruck Second Ruck ( 3-miles) will begin at 0900

Second Ruck ( 1- mile) will begin at 0930

What to Bring?

  1. Entry “cost”: Please bring non-perishable canned goods as your admission donation. All items will support local military food pantries. You will unload these items out of your rucksack during the route.
  2. A rucksack/backpack

Route Options: Participants can choose between a short ( 1 mile) or long ( 3 miles) ruck route during registration.

What's a ruck? A "ruck" refers to marching or walking with a heavy backpack, known as a rucksack, often carrying a significant load of equipment and supplies.
