This year marks the 2nd annual Ruby Fest, local live music festival and this year we are going bigger and better - think, 'camping and carnival', style!
Say What?!
This year's festival is a celebration of the Local Live Music scene! Its all about local music, brought to you by local musicians , for local musicians and pretty much anyone and everyone who supports the local live music scene. However, this more than simply a celebration. This is about community. It’s about growing, building and strengthening the scene TOGETHER.
Known as a great eco space where visitors can create memories, Katrina Farm is situated at 126 Hole-In-One Ave, Diswilmar AH, Krugersdorp (Ruimsig). This beautiful venue, boasting ample wide open space for camping, safe parking, vendors and hanging out, is the perfect location to host this year's Ruby Fest. The newly built, great big hall is often used as a Wedding venue and will make for the ideal spot for the main stage area. Right behind this structure, is another, cornered off area which will be partially enclosed to provide a more than adequate if not intimate, out door stage area. The building and neighbouring semi structure, with all the necessities , down to the finer details and finishing touches will make for the ideal, location for this annual festival.
DIVERSITY is what you can expect at this years festival!
A vast number of different genres and styles of music will be brought to the festival by the featured 45 plus, live music performances by some of our very own legends in our local scene. From 'newbys' to novice, experimental to experienced, seasonal to serious and seasoned artists. These include, bands, solo artists, duos and D.J’s - playing on 2 stages over 3 days.
