RTH Open Day + 10 year Celebration!

Come celebrate 10 years of community restoration across the Takarunga-Hauraki peninsula! 🌱💚
Join us at Ngau-te-ringaringa Community Nursery as we celebrate a decade of restoring our local environment together, and celebrate the many people who have helped us get here and are taking this mahi forward.
Be among the first manuhiri to visit our new education space, Te Kōhanga o Tāne (Tāne’s nest), and explore the nursery where we grow around 100 eco-sourced native species, including some rarer plants seldom found around Tāmaki. Guided nursery tours will run every half hour.
There’ll be plenty to see and do:
🌱 Explore the nursery and meet some of the native plants we grow
🧺 Have a go at weaving harakeke
☕ Enjoy some kai and a kapu tī
🎨 Buy a $20 raffle ticket for beautiful artwork contributed by a local Māori artist
💚 Hear a little kōrero as we mark the occasion with kaumātua and other special guests
All ages are welcome.
Bring the whānau, have a wander, meet some of the people behind the mahi and help us celebrate 10 years of Restoring Takarunga Hauraki!
