🐦 Can you count birds? November Bird Monitoring
Have an hour to spare and enjoy a walk in the park? We’re looking for volunteers to help count birds across the East Coast Bays and Waiwera this November!
📅 Monitoring takes place throughout November, with 1 November marking the start of the monitoring month.
You don’t need to be a bird expert — full training and support will be provided. We use the simple 5-Minute Bird Count method, with a full count at one location taking around an hour. It’s about what you hear as well as what you see!
Your counts help us build a picture of birdlife in our local reserves and track changes over time.
