Celebrate 100 years of Route 66 with the City of El Reno at Mother Road Plaza! Enjoy live music, lunch, sweet treats and a special flag-raising ceremony honoring the Mother Road’s legacy.
At noon, join us for the inaugural raising of the American flag and the eight state flags along Route 66. The nine new flagpoles behind the iconic El Reno 66 shield were made possible through a joint project by El Reno’s Lions, Kiwanis and Rotary clubs in partnership with the city.
Jimmy Dale’s Route 66 Road Show will provide the soundtrack for the celebration, with a three-piece band and dancers bringing the nostalgia of the 1950s and ’60s to life. Guests will enjoy lunch from Johnnie’s Grill and desserts from Allie’s Baking Boutique and Eileen’s Cookies, along with photo opportunities and a few surprises.
Each person who attends the celebration or visits The Filling Station, 120 S. Choctaw Ave., on Nov. 11 will receive an exclusive El Reno Route 66 centennial T-shirt. Bring your friends and family to celebrate a century of memories along America’s most famous highway!
