About this Event
Join us at Ruff Start Rescue for a Rangers & Volunteer Event on January 22nd, 2026! Ruff Start Rangers, a program within the Education Department, aims to educate youth through service and activities in hopes the future of animal welfare sees fewer homeless pets and more responsible pet owners. All themes in this series come from this program.
Human Health and Wellness with Pets is a fun Ruff Start Rescue program that teaches kids how animals help us feel calm, stay active, and build healthy habits. Through an interactive activity, students learn how caring for pets supports both human and animal well-being. It’s a simple, engaging way for kids to understand the powerful bond between people and pets.
The event will start at 5:30 pm and is estimated to last ~90 minutes; we will do a brief presentation about the topic then do a fun themed activity together! When signing up, please include parents and kids in the total admission number so we have an idea of how many will be in attendance.
