RSA Experience: Cambridge Botanic Gardens summer tour

This July, RSA Fellows are invited to explore the beauty and diversity of the Cambridge University Botanic Garden on a special private guided tour, alongside your new Fellowship Councillor, Elizabeth Donnelly FRSA.

RSA Fellows and friends are warmly invited to join an early evening visit to the Cambridge University Botanic Garden (CUBG), home to over 8,000 plant species and an extraordinary range of garden landscapes.

Attendees should meet at the Station Road Gate, Hills Road at 16.15. We’ll be joined by one of the Garden’s expert guides for a tailored 90 minute private Fellows tour at 16.30, showcasing the seasonal highlights. You’ll gain insight into the Garden’s rich history, landscape design and internationally significant plant collections. After the tour, we’ll continue conversations informally at a nearby local pub.

16.15 - attendees arrive, for prompt tour start at 16.30 (Station Road Gate, Hills Road)

16.30–18.00 Garden Tour - Private guided tour of the Botanic Garden (90 mins)

18.00–19.30 Pub gathering - Optional informal drinks and conversation at a local pub

19.30 Event close

Tickets are limited (15–20 places), and registering via Eventbrite is essential. Please ensure you can attend, or provide ample notice if your plans change.

Most of the garden is step-free and accessible, though some heritage areas may have limited access. Full accessibility details are available on the Botanic Garden website.

To participate in this event, you will need to register for a ticket so that we can manage capacity. Our events are frequently oversubscribed so if you are subsequently unable to attend, please cancel your Eventbrite booking so we can make room for others on the Wait List.
