Build-A-Bot: Introducing Q-B
Advertisement
Come and build your very own cube-shaped robot named Q-B.
In this fun and hands-on workshop, participants will create their very own cube-shaped robot named Q-B. Using 3D-printed parts, an LCD screen for the robot’s expressive face, and a powerful yet tiny Raspberry Pi Pico as the brain, students will bring Q-B to life from the ground up. They'll learn how to assemble the cube structure, connect electronic components, and program Q-B to move using a servo motor. Along the way, you will gain valuable skills in design, electronics, and coding—while having a blast building your own smart, moving robot friend to take home with you!
We'll provide all the components and tools you need. Just come along and enjoy the creativity of making your own robot.
This is a lively and challenging workshop aimed at children aged 10 years and older.
Please note: Whilst we'll make every effort to help ensure your Q-B works, careful assembly is required and we cannot be held responsible for any non-working robots due to poor assembly.
This workshop session is priced at £64.50 and includes the admission price of 1 child with an accompanying adult to the museum and the cost of the kit that you will take away! For participants aged 14 or under, we require an accompanying adult to attend the workshop alongside them.
Date: Thursday 23rd July 2026
Time: 2 pm - 4.30pm
This workshop will start at 2 pm promptly, so please arrive at least 15 minutes early.
