About this Event

Venue: Lecture Room 3 Riddell Hall, Queen's University Belfast

Please note that the venue is fully accessible.

Organised in collaboration with Queen's University Belfast, the event will provide information on NIHR’s Research Programme for Social Care scheme, aimed at researchers who are considering applying for research funding.

There will be opportunities to meet and hear from the Committee chair, Programme Director, Research Support Service and Programme team.

Provisional schedule includes:

  • Introduction and welcome by Queen's University Belfast
  • Presentations by the RPSC Programme Director and senior team on priorities, remit, and application guidance
  • A case study from a successful award holder
  • Reflections from a funding committee chair on assessment and committee culture
  • A panel discussion and Q&A
  • Optional 1:1 advisory session in the afternoon for prospective applicants. If you would like to discuss a potential application idea, please fill in this pre-submission form and indicate your attendance at the event.
