The Residents Preference Program (RPP) helps eligible City of Milwaukee residents access employment opportunities tied to certain City-supported projects. Many covered projects require contractors to hire RPP-certified residents, making certification an important step for residents seeking these opportunities.

Who May Be Eligible?
To qualify for RPP certification, you must:
- live in the City of Milwaukee
- meet at least one additional eligibility condition, such as:
- not having worked in the last 15 days
- having worked fewer than 1,200 hours in the last 12 months
- meeting certain federal poverty guidelines
