Feel the tension in the air as townsfolk discuss the recent events at Lexington and Concord. Watch as Royal Governor Josiah Martin and his supporters make their final preparations to leave New Bern.
Experience the drama firsthand with dramatic reenactment at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., capturing the uncertainty and urgency of a colony on the brink of rebellion. Event includes stirring Fife & Drum performances and a new “Discover Tryon Palace: Caswell’s Capital” tour of the Palace, exploring how North Carolina forged its path to independence.
