Third Place Books is delighted to welcome Portland author and illustrator Rowan Kingsbury to our Lake Forest Park store for a presentation of her new kids' graphic novel, . This event is free and open to the public. Readers of all ages welcome!

About Avery and the Fairy Circle. . .

Avery’s family has just moved to a small cottage in the forest. She is obsessed with plants and loves exploring nature outside her home until one day she stumbles into a magic fairy circle. Shrinking to the size of a teeny tiny fairy, Avery tries to find her way back home. A young fairy named Birch agrees to help her reverse the magic, but only if Avery helps her complete some fairy chores! Hopefully, Avery can befriend Birch and complete the tasks required if she wants to return home before her parents discover she is missing...

Rowan Kingsbury is an illustrator and storyteller dedicated to crafting things full of wonder, warmth, and whimsy. She was raised in the evergreen state of Washington and graduated from the Pacific Northwest College of Art with a BFA in Illustration. Rowan now resides in Portland, Oregon, choosing to stay close to the rainy forests she spent her childhood exploring. Avery and the Fairy Circle is her debut graphic novel – inspired by the magic of those same forests. Besides doodling fairies and running her online shop, she also enjoys cooking up treats, ambling around, and trying to find the nearest cat to bother.
