Route 66 x Hypershell | End of Line Celebration (Date May Change)

This Bike Month, May 2026, BikeLA is partnering up with Hypershell and professional bicyclist Aurélien Fontenoy to honor the Route 66 Centennial and raise funds to support safer, more joyous streets for all Angelenos.

The challenge: Fontenoy is cycling the full 4,000 km from Chicago to Santa Monica in just 22 days. After life-changing hip and shoulder injuries 18 months ago, he’s using the Hypershell X exoskeleton to bridge the physical gap and reclaim his dream. More than a ride, this is a storytelling journey—connecting personal resilience, mobility, and the cultural legacy of Route 66 through daily content, a long-form documentary, and global media.
