Gather with creative minds and get those words out of your head and onto the page in a chill and supportive group setting.
About this Event

We need more third spaces to gather, share ideas, and get inspired. Whether you write poetry, essays, novels, plays, or just scribbles on napkins, if you're a lover of words this group space welcomes you. Come along for a creative Sunday evening wind-down and enjoy a tea or drinky in the wonderfully cosy Oscar's at Wilde, Cambridge.

My name is Bob and I am a museum professional and aspiring writer. I find I am most creatively inspired when I am amongst others in an environment that is relaxed and focussed on process rather than end result. I wanted to create a space like this for myself and others. Starting off as a one-off event, I would love if this could become a regular space for folks to come together and make progress on their projects, get over writer's block, or get inspired with something totally new.

The idea is that we would start with 30 minutes of quiet creating. Whether you write 5 words or 500 words in that time, let whatever happens in the moment be just that. Then we would have 15 minutes of chatting about how things are going, maybe about any thorny knots you're trying to work through, or what is inspiring you right now. Then we would finish with 15 minutes more of relaxed creating. Hopefully, this will be a lovely way to wind down for the evening and you can head into the new week feeling motivated and buzzing with ideas.
