On Thursday morning October 17, the iconic autonomous community and venue Stroomhuis in Eindhoven was struck by a devastating tragedy, when a fire destroyed most of the complex and everything inside: equipment, instruments and creative works. The building stood proud as a beating heart of local independent culture for decades, hosted hundreds of concerts and exhibitions, but more importantly was a home for many in Eindhoven and beyond.

Already on the day after the tragedy, the first plans were made for a Rotterdam benefit concert to support our friends in Eindhoven. There are decades of strong ties between the music scenes of both cities, and there is an ongoing dynamic and creative exchange, as performing musicians, concert visitors, organizers and like-minded idealists.
On Tuesday November 12, WORM hosts a Rotterdam ❤️⚡️ Stroomhuis fundraiser event, supported by the music venues Rotown, Roodkapje and V11 and local concert platforms Nospray and Yugofuturism. Three live acts will perform: Tramhaus, Texoprint and M.U.G. and DJ Gary van Niks will spin records.
The goal is to show solidarity with our friends in Eindhoven, but more importantly to support the Stroomhuis community to get back on their feet. Tickets for the event are €20. All ticket proceeds will be transferred to the community of Stroomhuis. There are also donation tickets for €5, which won’t provide access to the event, but its proceeds will be transferred as well.
