Join us to welcome the festive season to Rotherham town centre at this FREE family-friendly event.This much-loved event returns with an exciting programme of live music, street entertainment, an outdoor gift market and lots more for the whole family to enjoy!
Enjoy exploring the town centre and Rotherham’s fabulous businesses before heading to All Saints’ Square for the all-important switch on at 6pm with the Mayor of Rotherham, Cllr Sheila Cowen.

A new sound and light installation from Pif-Paf, exploring breath, breathing alone, and breathing together, mixing science and the raw joy of community.
Creative Workshops
Join artists in the Minster Gardens for creative festive workshops for the whole family to make and take home!
Market Square
Our good friends Let’s Circus, who you may know from Rotherham Show, will be joining us with a festive treat. We can’t wait to welcome them to the Lights’ Switch-on for the first time!
Street Entertainment
Across the town centre As it’s panto season (oh no, it isn’t – oh yes, it is!) the two ugly sisters will be let loose in all their gaudy glamour and fantastic finery. Look out for Creature Feature’s There’s Nothing Like a Dame as they cause mayhem and mirth on the streets of Rotherham.
