Leah Frohnerath (pronounced FRAW-ner-ath) is the Board President and a riding instructor at The Horses for Handicapped Foundation of Pinellas County, Inc. Her involvement with the organization began at the age of six, when she first participated as a rider in the program. As a teenager, she transitioned into a volunteer role under the guidance of the late Mary Urquhart, the program’s founder and visionary.
After returning home from college, Leah was honored to step into the role of instructor, and in 2019 she was nominated and elected Board President. Through her work as a Child Life Specialist at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital and her continued dedication to Horses for Handicapped, Leah is deeply committed to meeting individuals where they are—building on their unique strengths, nurturing their talents, and helping them reach their fullest potential.
Today, Leah is excited to share more about the mission and impact of The Horses for Handicapped Foundation and to explore how, together with the Rotary Club of Seminole Lake, we can build goodwill, strengthen friendships, and serve the greater community.
