Rose Street Center Open House

Join us Saturday, September 19, from 9:00 AM–3:00 PM for an Open House at the Rose Street Center!

Come tour the building, explore our spaces, meet the people behind them, see equipment in action, and learn about the many ways you can work, create, learn, shop, and connect at the Rose Street Center.

The Rose Street Center is home to a growing collection of spaces, programs, and resources for small businesses, start-ups, makers, creatives, remote workers, and our community.

The Commons – A flexible co-working space with shared and private workspaces, meeting room, and membership options.

The Craft Apothecary – Shop donated and secondhand craft supplies, take classes and workshops, or become a member to access shared creative tools and equipment.

Owatonna Makerspace – A hands-on community workspace with equipment for woodworking, CNC projects, lapidary, stained glass, and more. Membership provides access to both the Makerspace and The Craft Apothecary's creative space.

Retail Collective – This shared retail space gives local creatives and makers a place to sell their products. An initiative of Mainstreet Owatonna.

The Shops – Coming soon, small retail spaces along a boardwalk area outside the Rose Street Center will create even more opportunities for small businesses and local shopping.

The Rose Street Center is operated by the Owatonna Area Business Development Center (OABDC), a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering the formation, growth, and success of new and existing businesses and Mainstreet Owatonna

Our work extends well beyond the building. OABDC provides no-cost, confidential business consulting through our partnership with the Minnesota Small Business Development Center, along with business classes and workshops, Software Studio, entrepreneur networking, and other resources.

OABDC is also home to the Minnesota Angel Investor Network, connecting accredited investors with early-stage startups and creating opportunities for mentorship and investment.
