🌾 ROPAIN 2083: the rice planting festival
Come for the mud, make your monsoon memories.
Every monsoon, we make our way back to Jhor to spend a day with Sabita didi and her family during their rice planting season.
This year feels special because it marks our fourth year of celebrating Ropain together with the Nextdoor team, friends, travellers, and the wider community that has slowly gathered around us.
It is a simple day, really. Rice seedlings in hand. Mud everywhere. Laughter in the fields. A walk to the waterfall. Food that feels like home. And a reminder that some of the best travel memories are not made by watching from a distance, but by joining in.
📅 Date: Sat June 27 | 9AM -5PM
📍 Pickup/Drop: Nextdoor Thamel
🌾 Location: Baudeshwor, Jhor
💸 Cost: NPR 2,500 per person
Includes transport, snacks, lunch, and a contribution to the host family.
Early bird until June 23, 2000 NPR.
