Rootz Within is a "non-traditional" reggae/rock band promoting positivity, community, & personal growth through relatable lyrics & catchy hooks. Delivered with their signature laid-back island sound, they combine elements of rock, funk, and jamband-like improvisation with a smooth reggae foundation. Rootz Within has performed with several international reggae legends (Alborosie, Clinton Fearon, Luciano, and more) and national acts (Mike Love, Tropidelic, Nattali Rize, Kyle Smith, and many more) across the Upper Midwest, Pacific Northwest, and Hawaii & Maui Islands. Rootz Within has released two full-length albums (Aloha Aina in 2017 and Incrementum in 2022) which can be found everywhere online along with their first single "Roll'n Up (Ganja) feat. Reggae Rapids" released on Aug 1, 2023 to coincide with the legalization of cannabis in Minnesota.
