Join us for this inaugural race highlighting the resources, historical sites and community that make Mercer County special!
The Roots of Mercer 5K & Fun Run brings together runners, families, and local businesses for a day of connection and pride in our community. Hosted at the beautiful Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill, this event celebrates what makes Mercer County so special.
Run, Walk, and Fun Run participants will experience the beauty of Kentucky's Bluegrass region while supporting a mission focused on preserving and strengthening our community for future generations. From rolling farmland and equestrian properties to historic sites and wildlife, Roots of Mercer 5K & Fun Run exists to showcase the heart of Mercer County.
In addition to the race, attendees will have the opportunity to explore community vendor booths featuring local small businesses, preservation organizations, community groups, and educational resources that share a passion for celebrating the beauty of Kentucky. All proceeds from this event will support the work of We Are Mercer County, a community organization dedicated to protecting and strengthening our local resources, agriculture, and future.
