Join us for the 12th Annual “Roots & Ruts” Trail Raceon Friday, September 12th, 2025.With 3km, 5km & 10km race distances, this event has something for all fitness ability levels!
Run or Walk… have fun with friends and experience South Bear Creek Park’s Waxwing Trails.

Registration includes an all “NEW” Roots & Ruts finisher medal, meal & refreshments…
After the run, enjoy getting together with everyone for some awesome eats, including a post-race chili dinner (vegetarian option available) and refreshments. Awards will be presented post-race based on top 3 Runners, both Male & Female, in each Distance Category.

GROUP TRAINING
Our “WAXWING WEDNESDAY” TRAINING GROUP will take place for 4 weeks leading up to the race (Wednesday, August 13th, 20th, 27th and September 3rd). Whether you are interested in learning the route or just looking for some fun people to hit the trails with, you can’t go wrong with our Wednesday run group!
3 distances available… 3k, 5k and 10k! Run or walk, all levels welcome! We will meet at the Bear Paw Golf Course at 6:00 pm each week and start promptly at 6:15 pm. *Remember to bring hydration, wear trail shoes and pack bear spray if you have it!
REFUND POLICY.
All race entries are non-refundable. Race registrations may be transferred to another racer prior to race day. Email [email protected] to request changes.
