Hello Willmore Park People!
Thinking of adopting a dog or getting a free native tree to plant at your house? Then, come out to Roots & Rescues on Saturday, March 21st in Willmore Park. We'll be there from 10am-12pm and a lot will be going on!
Meet us in the first parking lot after you drive into the park.
Friends of Willmore Park is hosting Roots & Rescues as a fundraiser for Stray Rescue of Missouri. To raise money, our sponsors will be donating $20 for each volunteer who comes to help pick up trash in the park and/or prune our flower bed. If we get 50 volunteers, we can make a $1,000 donation to Stray Rescue, and we’ll have a much cleaner park.
Trash Pick Up and Garden Bed Pruning is from 10am-11am!
Dogs for Adoption will start at 11am!
Also, we will be mulching some trees in the park. Please bring a wheel-barrow, if you have one.
Forest ReLeaf of Missouri will be on site and giving away native trees to homeowners who want to plant them in their yard.
It should be a really great and positive day. Please come join us! Come alone or bring a friend. Bring the kids and have some fun in the park afterwards. Everyone is welcome!
